Big E attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater from 1996-2000 graduating with a BA in Business and a minor in Finance. Edward was a 4 time All American and part of the 2000 NCAA Championship team. He recorded 5 collegiate victories and played on the 1998 Palmer Cup team. He also won 4 Amateur tournaments including back to back wins at the Sunnehanna Amateur and was a member of the 1999 Walker Cup Team.

Edward turned professional in 2000 and has had various stops around the globe. He spent the bulk of 5 years on the Asian Tour capturing the 2003 Thailand Open and the 2004 Kolon Korean Open.  Loar has recorded two wins on the Web.com Tour as well, at the 2012 Panama Claro Open and the 2013 Chitimacha Louisiana Open.

In 2015, Edward played on the Web.com Tour and his best finish came at the Price Cutter Charity Championship where he finished T16.

In 2016, Edward once again played on the Web.com Tour and after playing superbly through first and second stages of European Tour Q-School, he made it to the final stage. At first stage, Edward played at Collingtree Park and recorded a T7 finish having shot rounds of 69, 71, 70 and 69. He made it through to the second stage where he was drawn at Lumine Golf and Beach Club. Another really impressive performance there saw him finish in a tie for 5th on 8 under par, having shot rounds of 68, 69, 72 and 67. Unfortunately Edward fell at the final hurdle and missed the cut at Final Stage of Q-School, but can be very proud of his efforts.

When he is not chasing around after his triplets, Edward loves fast cars and one day would love to race down the Autobahn in Germany.
