John turned professional in September of 2017 following his Junior year at UNLV, that saw him recognized as a First-Team All American. One of the most successful players in UNLV history, Oda registered 4 individual titles as a collegian, highlighted by 3 victories in his Junior season alone.

Also one of the most consistent performers in collegiate golf, Oda recorded the second lowest career scoring average in UNLV history, surpassing the career marks of past Runnin’ Rebels including Adam Scott, Charley Hoffman & Andres Gonzales.

A proud native of Honolulu, Oda looks to be the standard bearer for Hawaiian touring pros for years to come, after registering a solo 8th place finish in the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in his first PGA Tour start as a professional in November of 2017.

John qualified for the 2018 Finals as a non-member by virtue of his 5 out of 7 made cuts on the PGA Tour including 3 top-11 finishes.
