Oscar Lengdén is one of the new breed of Swedish golfers that is showcasing his talents around the world.
The talented Swede spent four years at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and won two NCAA Division II titles, the Barry’s Buccaneer Invitational in 2012 and was selected on the 2014 Division II Cleveland Golf/ Srixon All-American Scholar and the 2015 Second Team PING All-American Scholar.
Having graduated from University, Oscar then returned to Europe and turned professional in 2015.
Competing in his native Sweden on mini-tours, Lengdén won four times in the space of six weeks to earn a Nordic Golf League category for the 2016 season. Win’s came at the Båstad Open, Johannesburg Open, Hovås Open and the SPM Open.
A very successful season on the Nordic Golf League saw Oscar finish the season ranked 3rd on the Order of Merit. Playing in 19 tournaments, he recorded 11 top 10 finishes and this was enough to seal his promotion to the European Challenge Tour.
2017 was a breakthrough year for Lengdén and saw him compete on both the European and Challenge Tours, finishing 23rd on the Road to Oman rankings. An unforgettable win at the Bridgestone Challenge was the highlight of his season.
A second Challenge Tour title came for Oscar, when he claimed victory at the 2018 Challenge de España, by a convincing 4 shots.
He finished his season ranked 23rd on the Road to Ras Al Khaimah rankings and is competing on both the European and Challenge Tours for the 2019 season.
