Cody was one of the top-ranked junior players in the country and one of the most heavily recruited players for college during his junior career.  Cody accepted a scholarship to the University of Texas where he enjoyed a career that included NCAA All-America Honors and a 2012 NCAA Team National Championship.

Cody made his professional debut at the 2013 FedEx St. Jude Classic via a sponsor exemption after graduating from the University of Texas in May 2013.  Cody spent 2015 and 2016 on the Web.com Tour where he collected eight Top-10 finishes

At the Sanderson Farms Championship, Gribble picked up his maiden PGA Tour victory. Playing in just his eighth event on the circuit, the left-hander looked like a cool and composed veteran as he closed the tournament out. His victory has earned him $756,000, 300 FedExCup points and exempt status on tour through the 2018-19 season. The four-stroke win was the second largest in tournament history, trailing Frank Conner’s five-stroke win in 1988.
