Arni Sveinsson

Árni Sveinsson is an Icelandic golfer competing for the LSU Tigers, where he has quickly established himself as one of the top young players in collegiate golf. Hailing from Garðabær, Iceland, Sveinsson arrived at LSU following a decorated international amateur career, representing Iceland on the world stage and capturing multiple junior victories across Europe. After an impressive Junior career which included 6 wins and 13 top 10 finishes, he started his college experience at LSU in the summer of 2024. He took off fast and showed his talents early on in his Freshman year. His season stroke average of 70,25 was the third best in school history. A season that counted 1 win and 5 top 5 finishes. Finished his Freshman year named Second Team All-SEC and to the All-SEC Freshman team. His single win as a Freshman coming at The Blessings Intercollegiate. As a Sophomore, Arni has not looked back and continued his fine form adding another win at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational 2025 and a 2nd place at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup 2025, which pushed him to a career best of 8th on the OWGR. He is excited for the upcoming post season with LSU, Palmer Cup and a competitive schedule in the summer, trying to keep climbing the various rankings.
