2023 was a breakthrough season for Martin, which saw him win the Challenge de España as an amateur, becoming only the seventh player in history to do so. Before turning professional, Martin claimed victory at the 2023 South African Stroke Play Championship, the 2023 South African Amateur Championship and the 2023 Proudfoot Trophy. He will compete on the Challenge Tour for the 2024 season.
