TULSA – Oklahoma State University sophomore Preston Stout claimed his second consecutive Big 12 title on April 24, becoming the 50th conference medalist in OSU Men’s Golf history.

After opening with three straight rounds of 70, Stout caught fire on the front nine of the final round, birdieing four out of five holes to go 4-under 31. He followed with a bogey at the 10th and a birdie at the 13th before closing with a 67.

It marked his second victory of the spring season and the third of his collegiate career.

He now joins Ludvig Aberg as the only players in history to win back to back Big 12 Individual Titles.

This spring, Stout has been remarkably consistent, recording five top-three finishes in just seven events. His strong play has propelled him to No. 12 in the Clippd NCAA rankings, furthering his status as one of the nation’s top collegiate golfers.

On the amateur circuit, he advanced to match play at the 2024 U.S. Amateur and placed inside the top 20 at prestigious events such as the Sunnehanna Amateur, Northeast Amateur, and Southern Amateur. Stout also made waves at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Veritex Bank Championship, tying for 22nd at 18-under 266.

His standout junior career includes three titles at the Byron Nelson Junior Championship—joining Jordan Spieth as the only three-time winner along with victories at the C.T. Pan Junior and AJGA Carolina Trace Junior. Stout was a first-team AJGA All-American in 2022 and represented Team USA at the 2022 Junior Presidents Cup.
