DUSTIN JOHNSON SEALS VICTORY AT LIV GOLF LAS VEGAS

Monday, February 12, 2024

After a battling final round of one-under-par, Dustin Johnson sealed his third LIV Golf title at Las Vegas Country Club by one shot.

Opening with a birdie on the par-5 1st hole, bogeys came at the 6th, 9th and 11th, but the two-time Major Champion fittingly rallied with birdies on the 13th and 15th  and crucially a clutch birdie putt on 17 to pull one clear.

Conditions were incredibly tough and having hit a fantastic iron shot to 12 feet on the final hole of the tournament, a two-putt par was enough to earn Dustin the title.

“It’s a great win,” Johnson said after his victory. “I knew it would be tough with the conditions and obviously a lot of really good players around the lead. I knew it was going to be a grind from start to finish.”

“The game is feeling in really good form for this early in the year, so I’m excited for the rest of the year,” Johnson said. “Obviously, got a big stretch coming up with Saudi, Hong Kong, come back, Doral and then the Masters.”

Dustin has won in each of LIV Golf’s first three seasons, with his first being in Boston in September 2022, then Tulsa, Oklhaoma in 2023 and last week in Las Vegas,

Congratulations, Dustin! Well done also to Brooks Koepka who captained Smash GC to the team title by 7 shots, over Johnson’s 4Aces GC.
