HAMBRIC SPORTS WELCOME FRANCESCO LAPORTA

Wednesday, August 5, 2020

2019 Road to Mallorca winner, Francesco Laporta, has today announced his decision to sign with Hambric Sports.

In his third full season on the Challenge Tour, the Italian won the 2019 Hainan Open and went wire-to-wire at the 2019 Challenge Tour Grand Final, to close out his season in top spot and secure his European Tour card for 2020.

Known for his consistent ball striking, Laporta missed just one cut in his final 17 starts of his 2019 campaign and became only the fourth Italian to be crowned the Challenge Tour number one.

Since his graduation to the European Tour, Francesco’s best finish has come at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, where he finished tied 17th earlier this year, having lead going into the weekend.

“I’m so happy to be joining the team at Hambric Sports”, said Laporta. “I have always liked how they go about their business and I’m looking forward to having them in my corner going forward. I feel this is the step that I needed to take, to bring my career to the next level”.

Laporta will be managed by Mark Haastrup and CEO of Hambric Sports, Rocky Hambric, said “Already a proven winner on the Challenge Tour, we are excited to welcome Francesco to Hambric Sports. We have no doubt that he will reach new heights and achieve his professional goals, with us by his side”.

Currently ranked 143rd in the world, Francesco is competing at the English Championship on the European Tour.

With offices in Dallas, Los Angeles, Dublin and London, Hambric Sports specializes in the management of professional golfers, and markets its clients on a global basis. This includes seeking and negotiating income-producing opportunities within the golf industry and corporate world. In addition to Laporta, the list of clients includes Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Smith, The Højgaard twins and Scottie Scheffler.
