Hambric Sports welcomes Oliver Gillberg and Lorenzo Scalise

Hambric Sports is delighted to announce the signing of Sweden’s Oliver Gillberg and Italy’s Lorenzo Scalise, following on from their participation at the World Amateur Team Championships and decision to turn professional.

Oliver Gillberg captured his biggest amateur title at the 2018 South African Amateur Stroke Play Championship. Following on from this he was selected to represent Sweden at the European Team Championships and the World Amateur Team Championships, which have both assisted with his rise up the World Amateur Rankings to 14thposition.

“Turning professional is going to be a challenge that I relish and I am really looking forward to competing against the best players in the world. I am confident that Hambric Sports is the right fit for me as they have a long history in signing amateur golfers like myself and I’m looking forward to them guiding me through the early stages of my career, like they have done with their other successful clients”, said Gillberg.

Scalise is one of Italy’s up and coming golfing stars and has had an impressive amateur career, ranked 23rdon the World Amateur Golf Rankings.  He claimed victory at the 2018 Yale Spring Invitational and the 2017 Italian Amateur Championship, represented the Continent of Europe at the St. Andrew’s Links Trophy, Team International at the Arnold Palmer Cup and Team Italy at the World Amateur Team Championships.

He was also awarded with First Team All SEC honours, 2nd Team All American Honours and was a semi-finalist of the Jack Nicklaus award.

Lorenzo will make his professional debut this week at the Kazakhstan Open on the Challenge Tour.
