Rising star from Denmark, John Axelsen, has signed a full product line deal with Titleist/ FJ, which will see him play Titleist equipment and don Footjoy shoes, apparel and accessories, as he competes all around the world.

John had an incredible amateur record with numerous worldwide wins, including the 2017 & 2018 Danish Amateur International Championships, as well as winning the World Amateur Team Championships with Denmark in 2018. He made the decision to turn professional in 2020, having reached an outstanding handicap of +6.

Since making the leap into the paid ranks, Axelsen won the Destination Fyn Pro-Am on the ECCO Tour and following on from this win and other notable performances, he was awarded the ECCO Tour Rookie of the Year award for 2020.

He has since gone on to win the 2021 Made in Himmerland Qualifier and finished tied 17th at his home European Tour event. John’s best performance on the Challenge Tour came at the Andalucia Challenge de Cadiz last November, where he finished tied 9th

The young Dane will compete on both the Challenge Tour and other golfing satellite tours over the course of the 2021 season, as he looks to progress up the Official World Golf Rankings and improve his playing status.

“I have played Titleist most of my amateur career and I’m excited about continuing that partnership as a professional”, said Axelsen. “I love their equipment and service, so it was an easy choice for me when it came down to who I would trust in helping me get to the highest level possible. I’m also very excited about wearing Footjoy apparel, which is great quality for all kinds of weather and looks very modern with many new and cool designs.”

‘We are delighted to continue our long standing relationship with John as he transitions into the professional game”, said Ryan Hunt, Leadership Promotion Manager. “Having worked together since his junior days, we are extremely proud that John will continue to put his trust in his ProV1x ball, full bag of Titleist hardware and FJ Shoes and Apparel. We are all very excited to watch John’s progression over the coming years and look forward to helping John achieve success in the future.”
