Luis Gagne signs with Hambric Sports

Hambric Sports is proud to announce the signing of Costa Rican golfer, Luis Gagne, following on from his decision to turn professional this week ahead of the US Open Championship at Pebble Beach. 

Gagne signed off from his amateur career having helped Team International to victory at the Arnold Palmer Cup last weekend, where he went 2-1-1 in his four matches.

“I’m proud to be joining Hambric Sport and from my first meeting I was impressed by their level of professionalism and dedication to their clients”, said Luis. “I know I’m joining a management group who have a high level of success both historically and currently. I’m excited by the future and look forward to working with both Rocky and Duncan as I start my professional career”.

2018/ 2019 has been a successful season for Luis, having finished as low amateur at the 2018 US Open Championship and being chosen to represent Costa Rica at the Eisenhower Trophy and Team International at the Arnold Palmer Cup. 

While representing Louisiana State University in 2019, Luis finished as runner up at the Latin American Am, runner up at the Abierto Sudamerican Am, had five top ten finishes in ten collegiate events and has set the LSU college scoring average record for one season of 70.34.

Other highlights for Gagne over the last number of years include being nominated for the Ben Hogan Award in 2019, claiming victory at the David Toms Intercollegiate Championship in 2017, finished third at the 2018 Prestige at PGA WEST and finished tied third at the 2018 SEC Championship.

Luis will be managed by Duncan Maxim. Rocky Hambric, CEO of Hambric Sports said “We are thrilled that Luis decided to join Hambric Sports. Finishing as low amateur at the 2018 US Open, along with two consecutive Palmer Cup appearances shows the high level Luis has achieved.
