Scottie Scheffler – Top 25

Tuesday, August 13, 2019

Congratulations to Scottie Scheffler, who has earned himself a PGA Tour Card for the 2019/ 2020 season, due to being ranked 3rd at the end of the Korn Ferry Tour’s regular season.

The first 25 of 50 PGA Tour Membership cards were handed out on Sunday at the WinCo Foods Portland Open, at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

Scottie will now carry over the points that he has already earned, to the Korn Ferry Tour finals, where positions on the Priority Ranking list will be finalised.

Scottie has had a fantastic rookie season on the Korn Ferry Tour, recording his first professional victory at the Evans Scholars Invitational and also leading the tour in birdies made.

Overcoming a six-stroke deficit on Sunday at the Evans Scholars Invitational, Scottie shot a final round 9 under (63), to force a playoff with the 54-hole leader and made birdie on the second extra hole.

The week previous, at the Nashville Golf Open, a final round of 8 under (64) saw him finish solo-second, losing to Robby Shelton in a play-off.

There was another runner-up finish for Scottie at the Savannah Golf Championship earlier on in the year, falling just one shot short of winner Dan McCarthy. He shot rounds of 65 and 67 on Friday and Saturday to earn a share of the 54-hole lead.

Well done Scottie on a fantastic Rookie season on the Korn Ferry Tour. We know that you’re destined for the PGA Tour!
