SCOTTIE WINS AT THE HERO WORLD CHALLENGE

Monday, December 4, 2023

World number one, Scottie Scheffler, came out victorious at the Hero World Challenge yesterday, following a bogey-free final round of 68 (-4) to win by three shots.

After a dominant display in the Bahamas, it was a third title for Scheffler this season and a great way to cap off 2023.

Opening the tournament with a round of 69 (-3), it was then followed up with a six-under 66 on Friday and a seven-under par round of 65 on Saturday, which gave Scheffler a three shot lead heading into the final round. He finished the week on -20.

“I just tried to come out and make good swings like I did all week and no bogeys,” said Scheffler. “I felt like when I needed to make some birdies on the back nine I was able to do so.

“Coming here getting a win this week feels great. Great way to finish off the year.”

2023 saw Scottie defend his WM Phoenix Open title in February and win the Players Championship in March.

Congratulations, Scottie. We are excited to see what 2024 has in store for you!
