Joël Stalter turned professional in June 2014 after a tremendous career at The University of California, Berkeley, where he was an essential part of one of the most successful teams in recent college golfing history.
On turning professional, Joël signaled his intent to the golfing world by finishing 5th in his second event on the Challenge Tour at the Belgian Challenge Open. Consistent form throughout the 2014 season ensured him full playing status for 2015.
In 2016, Joël collected his maiden professional victory at the Swedish Challenge hosted by Robert Karlsson on the Challenge Tour. This win moved him up to 9th position on the Road to Oman rankings. Out of 21 events that he played in, Joël made 18 cuts.
At the 2016 NBO Grand Golf Classic Grand Final, Joël secured his European Tour card for the 2017 season, by finishing in 16th position on the Road to Oman rankings.
The 2017 season saw Joël record a T3 finish at the KLM Open, T7 at the BMW SA Open, T14 at the UBS Hong Kong Open and T19 finishes at both the TropheéHassan II and the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Joël qualified for his first Major Championship, the US Open at Erin Hills, having shot rounds of 68 and 65 to finish tied 5that the US Open Qualifier at Walton Heath in June 2017.
At his first event of the 2018 European Tour season, Joël finished T9 at the AfrAsiaBank Mauritius Open, which was a solid start to his 2018 Race to Dubai campaign and his best finish of the season.
Joël will now turn his attention to competing on the Challenge Tour for the 2019 season and looks to rise back up the World Rankings.
Having graduated from the Haas Business School in Berkeley, Joël likes to keep his finger on the pulse of the business world. One of his many hobbies is investing on the Stock Market.
