Gupta had a stellar collegiate career at Oklahoma State University and picked up an individual title at the 2018 Southern Plains Championship. He also helped OSU claim a number of team titles along the way, most notably the Carmel Cup in 2021. Before making the decision to turn professional in 2022, individual results during that season included 3rd at the N.I.T, 5th at the Big 12 Men’s Championships and 7th at the General Hackler Championship, resulting in him being honored as a 2022 GCAA All-American.
