Sweden’s Alexander Björk turned professional in 2009 and since then, he has risen through the World Golf Rankings.

Björk’s first European Tour victory came at the 2018 Volvo China Open, where he shot a final round 65 for a total of -18.

The Swede’s victory came after starting his second year on the European Tour in a near perfect style, with a tied 2nd place finish at the UBS Hong Kong Open, tied 3rd at the Tropheé Hassan II and tied 6th at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

He has since then gone on to finish solo 2nd at the Sky Sports British Masters, coming up just two shots short of eventual winner, Eddie Pepperell. This was having shot rounds of 69, 73, 68 and 71 to finish on -7. This moved him up the Race to Dubai rankings to 12th position.

2017 was a whirlwind first season for Alexander on the European Tour. Recording three top-ten finishes, this helped him to a 43rd place finish on the Race to Dubai rankings, meaning that he comfortably retained his card for the 2018 season.

A tied third finish for Alexander at the 2017 HNA Open de France secured him a spot at the 146th Open Championship, where he made his major debut.

In 2016, Alexander picked up his first Challenge Tour victory at the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge and also had nine top-ten finishes during this season. This led to him finishing 7th on the Road to Oman rankings and guaranteeing his European Tour for 2017.

As a teenager, Alexander was one of Sweden’s top ten ranked tennis players as a junior. He then chose to focus his efforts on golf.
