CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Congrats to our client Scottie Scheffler for capturing his first PGA Championship and third career major title with a commanding five-shot victory Sunday at Quail Hollow.
Scheffler closed with an even-par 71 to finish at 11-under 273, pulling away from a crowded leaderboard after briefly losing his lead early in the final round. The 28-year-old Texan now holds three major titles, adding the Wanamaker Trophy to his two Masters wins in 2022 and 2024.
Scheffler’s victory at Quail Hollow marks his second consecutive win, following an eight-shot triumph at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. He became the first player since Tiger Woods in 2007 to win by at least five shots in back-to-back PGA Tour starts.
With this win, Scheffler moves halfway toward completing the career Grand Slam, needing only victories at the U.S. Open and The Open Championship.
Scheffler’s performance at the PGA Championship solidifies his place atop the golf world, as he continues a dominant stretch that includes multiple wins and top-10 finishes this season.
