PORTRUSH, Northern Ireland

Hambric Sports client World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler cruised to a commanding four‑stroke victory at the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush, sealing his first Claret Jug with ease and reaffirming his dominance in the golf world.

Scheffler fired a 3‑under 68 in the final round, bringing his tournament total to 17‑under 267.

Scheffler struck early, landing his approach on the first hole within two feet for birdie, and extended his lead to seven by the fifth. Though a double‑bogey at the eighth trimmed his advantage, he responded with two more birdies and closed the tournament with six consecutive pars.

“This was, I felt like, one of my best performances mentally” said Scheffler, who enters the year’s final leg of the career Grand Slam missing only the U.S. Open.

The win marks Scheffler’s fourth major and his second of 2025 following his PGA Championship victory in May making him the first golfer since John Henry Taylor in 1909 to win his first four majors by at least three strokes.

Scheffler joins an exclusive group, he is only the second player to win The Open while ranked No. 1, after Tiger Woods and now aims to complete the career Grand Slam with a U.S. Open win.

Congrats to our client Scottie Scheffler on this major accomplishment in Portrush, Northern Ireland!
