Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Juan Jose Guerra is one of the most promising young players from Latinoamérica.


JJ, as his friends refer to him, finished tied second in the 2020 PGA Tour Latinoamérica Qualifying Tournament and had two top-10s during that season —7th at the Estrella del Mar Open and tied 10th at the Puerto Plata DR Open in his home country— finishing #17 at in the PGA Tour Latinoamérica Money List.


Among a long list of amateur accomplishments, he had five career wins and tied for second-most in program history at Nova Southeastern University, with the 496 birdies, 15 eagles and 64 par-or-better rounds. 


JJ is one of 12 NCAA Players ever to record a 60 in a round on route to become the record holder at Normandy Shores at Miami Beach (60) at the second round of Buccaneer Invitational in April 2017.


JJ played ping-pong, as well as golf in high school.
